So, I can't bake anything because my 'Canadian Mennonite' cookbook, not Warren's mothers' copy but mine... I have my rhubarb square (pictured right) and a few other recipes that I really need to do any baking... for Thanksgiving or Christmas or Easter... or company...
This is my 'cut-work' plate (above and left). I bought that at Pineridge Hollow about 20 years ago... it is stuck at 225 5th Avenue, N.E., in Dauphin. I haven't been able to bake or cook properly as my belongings have not yet been released to me... I'm not sure if anyone is living there anymore.
This 'Paris' souvenir bracelet is also stuck at the same address, in my inventory. It's not made of 'precious' metal... just an old vintage buy I made to be part of my novel collection representational items.
That's my industrial shelf that is in my 'work room' at 225... as of my check up... August 29, 2026, it is in the front 'bedroom.'
I have all my paperwork there as well.
This is my milk glass collection which was, mostly, in the cupboard above the sink at 225. My two crystal glasses, Villeroy & Boch, (on the right in photo), are also at that address. They are the 'Boston' clear. One is very used as I used to every day.
My punch bowl (right of photo), milk glass as well... is in my wicker basket to keep it from breaking. I actually bought that in Monticello... in the United States (antique mall), when my children were very young... about 30 years ago.
That's my wooden tray which I have, at 225, on the top shelf of my baker's rack, in the middle of the kitchen... my sister Eva and I have the same tray... we were shopping at Eaton's years ago and we each got one. I think she probably bought one, for me, she was financially able to, at the time.
I decorated chocolate cupcakes with whipped cream for the guests who came by that day...
J& L.. wonderful guests.
I used to eat a lot of blueberries and yogurt...
This is the bed frame, in the basement, at 225, that I purchased from a garage sale up at Dauphin Lake, I think. I'm still waiting for both my bed frames, they're 'double' beds... the other one I purchased on Hawthorne, two months ago.
This little quilt is one of my 'memory quilts.' It's the only one my Mom made, in my life belongings.
This is my sign and cake plate... stuck at 225... Sigh!
That is my 'one' and only blue plate of that style... it is a old antique...
That's a caramel sauce I made for my children...
That is one thing I have tasted that Shauna, Warren's relative brought for one dinner.
When I get my recipe books... I'll see if there is hand written recipe of hers...
My chocolate roll... 'Company's Coming...;' I would make this for Tammy because it was gluten- free.
I could put so many pictures of my baking, over the years... but, suffice it to say...
All my pans, and dishes, and ingredients are still at 225 5th Avenue, N.E., in Dauphin... so, things are feeling very impoverished where I am right now...
without being able to get all my life belongings to bless more meals... and people.
