I, Elfrieda, am writing book II of The Orchard Walk. It's not going to take me very long to write the second book. I have so many unique experiences to encapsulate for a vivid and detailed story. The experiences I had in the last two years are so unbelievable that I will, of course, be writing under the 'fiction' category.
In my first novel, I featured two big perfume rivals of the day, just to clarify to the readers, of my novel, how the 'vintage of commerce' (I use that phrase on the inside jacket of my novel), was still being 'fought' at the same time that men were dying in the fields during WWII.
One of the goals of my first novel was to set, side- by- side, the scenes that were being lived out, at the same time, by 'those who were perishing' and those who were being prayed for and hoping to 'live.'
In one scene, after the war was announced, on September 3... I write about a bawdy song some travellers sang, on a ship, while another group was singing 'Onward Christian Soldiers,' in a church, on peaceful soil.
"For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life." NKJV
II Corinthians 2: 15, 16
New Living Translation, verse 16, has a more graphic way of describing the experiences we have... "To those who are perishing we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life- giving perfume..."
In summer, I purchased three bottles of my favourite perfume at Shopper's Drug Mart.
I also made a decision on a pale pink bottle of perfume from buying one of those 12 packs of samples at Christmastime 2025.
Then I tried another four varieties there... two I returned.
Then I purchased a bottle of perfume from Super Thrifty, Yardley Lily of the Valley.
Then I purchased two from a lovely Christian woman... a special buy on Brown Street.
I had a bag of perfumes in the left drawer of my Scott McGillivray vanity... four of five varieties... Beautiful by Estee Lauder, Pleasures by Estee Lauder and more.
Now, someone may have stolen my perfume at 225. I surely hope not. That would cost Warren a lot of money. I haven't got any of those bottles here, in Winnipeg, yet.
Oh, Warren, don't forget to put my round antique mirror, on the left side of the vanity, in with all my perfumes, when you carefully pack those for me.
If I don't receive all my belongings this month... I will be charging you with a 'hate crime' and requiring you to pay financial remuneration for everything I own there, at 225, from July 1, 2022- August 29/30, 2026... and to current date.
I have already purchased two more bottles, in Winnipeg, while I await all my 'life belongings' from Dauphin.
