For a Word

 

What have I been learning? Many hard things. I assure you! Trust has been demolished. Currently, I can trust only in the Lord in day to day providing. Any future provision is invisible and unsettled. What I can write today is a bit of wisdom I read and re- read this month. I came across it in a modern book, well, republished book... the original was written during WWII. If you are a person who has read much, it may take a bit of brilliance to catch your attention. So, these words are the brilliance that caught my attention... I may paraphrase a bit to try to find the best structure for encouragement today...

"Your trust towards me or my trust towards you becomes higher through courtesy, kindness, honesty and keeping my commitments to you and vis a vis. This builds up a reserve of trust. In times when communication may not be clear you won't make me 'an offender for a word.' 

Wow! When I read those words I was so encouraged. In a world where people point fingers of accusation, the news being a horrible depiction of making anyone a 'offender for a word,' I wondered at the wisdom of this statement. Can a relationship become so trusting that there is latitude for such gracious living? In a world where, it seems, accusers are many and beloved are few can we develop strong relationships built on this kind of trust?

Most of my writing has been going in my private journal as a thought needs to be annotated before a complete belief is embraced and shared for the beneficence of any who read it. So, here I was thinking the writer was so brilliant and he was... brilliance does not die... wisdom does not die... it is available to every person who chooses to read and embrace and try to comprehend its validity to the walk of life.

So, here is the best part of the writing that so enthralled me... the wisdom of the writer was taken from Isaiah 29: 20 and 21. I was so amazed when I came across it a day or so ago. Now, I will let you read that, on your own, as it is a very severe warning and it is best if we read wisdom and apply it individually. My personal joy came of knowing that wisdom is so often, and when best it is used, a boon to foundational Biblically- based living.

My encouragement is this... be the kind of person of whom it can be said... 'that person would not make you an offender for a word.' Great testimony!
